Slot missions are a great way to earn gear, weapons and other items. However, they can be difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that lets you carry pistols into a mission. Some players make use of it to reach certain goals, especially those who are aiming for Suit Only. Others prefer to have the extra pistol as an extra weapon to close the gap. It is important to remember that to select the pistols that belong in this slot you must click on the button for the appropriate category, for example, alternate slot 2 machine guns. Major Expedition and Adept Rider are active, which makes it easier to use. This combo also gives you a damage tick from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as you have it in the slot.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled items slot is an excellent feature that allows players to bring weapons and other tools into the game, but it can be improved. It’s currently designed to resemble the shape of a pistol, making it difficult to differentiate the weapon slot smuggled by smugglers from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot can hold many different items, from subtle concussion devices, to weapons-grade explosives. These items are hidden in hidden locations around the map and can be found at any time. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that conceal small objects within scenery and objects directly.

Mission planning is a feature available in missions that are episodic. It lets players unlock different starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear slots prior to stepping into the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This allows players to prepare the best task for each challenge.

Gear Slot

The gear slots will rapidly fill up in the early stages of the game, which will result in the dreaded message “Your Gear trusted slots are Full”. This message will prevent Max to select new equipment until the old ones are taken away or space has been accumulated. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for completing challenge missions. Because many of these challenges could be overlooked and are scattered around the world, it may take some time to obtain the most inventory slots in the game.

The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to 5 different gear types, which must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In begins. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) takes up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades of the same kind) only uses one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations allow you to store an item that does not fit into your concealed weapon or gear slots, and retrieve them later.

These pick-ups can be useful if your mission requires you to pass through a frisk or you have a weapon on you that could cause suspicion. But, you are only able to conceal one item per game at an agency pickup location.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Once you have reached the mission marker be sure to identify a group upon arrival.
